Sabah North Borneo
Wildlife, War History & Cultural Treasures
WOW! What an exceptional tour this was โ a perfect blend of unforgettable wildlife encounters, moving war history, and rich cultural experiences.
One of the most humbling highlights was being honoured guests at the official Memorial Day Welcome Dinner and Ceremony. To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Pacific War, our group was present for the launch of the historic Death March trek and map, 30 years in the making. The ceremony was especially poignant as two of our travellers, whose fathers had fought in Borneo during WWII, were chosen to lay a wreath on behalf of Trade Travel.
Beyond these powerful commemorations, Sabah surprised us with its warm hospitality, unique culture, and astonishing natural wonders. From wildlife sanctuaries and jungle river safaris to tribal village experiences and sunset cruises, it was a journey of contrasts that left us with memories to last a lifetime.
