Our Fitness Ratings are designed to help you understand the physical demands of each tour before booking. They are based on factors such as walking distances, terrain, stairs, standing periods, transport arrangements and the level of independent mobility required throughout the journey.
These ratings are not intended to exclude anyone from travelling. Rather, they provide clear information so you can make an informed decision about whether a tour is suitable for your individual circumstances and travel preferences.

Easy-going activities suitable for travellers who can comfortably meet the minimum physical requirements outlined below.
Minimum requirements:
Walk up to 1 km at a comfortable pace on mostly level ground.
Stand for short periods (up to 10–15 minutes) without assistance.
Enter and exit the coach unaided, including using steps.
Minimum requirements:
Walk up to 2–3 km per day, including on uneven surfaces such as cobblestones, inclines, or sand.
Participate in guided walking tours with regular rest stops.
Manage multiple flights of stairs or moderate inclines without assistance.
Manage basic mobility independently in accommodation (e.g. moving around the room, using bathroom facilities).
Carry your own luggage for short distances (e.g. hotel to coach).
Stand comfortably for up to 30–45 minutes at a time.

Confidently manage stairs, steep inclines, and varied terrain.
