Colours of Autumn in the Victorian Alpine Region

A great trip was had with Probus members recently, to the Victorian Alpine region. It was fantastic to be able to stay in Myrtleford for the 5 night duration of the tour and head out each day to several of the attractions in the area. The use of local guides in each area made all the town history come to life! From Ned Kelly to the Gold Rush or the first days of schooling in the area, we felt we got to know how the pioneers of the district lived their lives. Magnificent weather greeted us every day as well as the spectacular Autumn colours of the trees. The Golden and Red Maples certainly didn't disappoint. We visited the towns of Bright, Myrtleford, Mount Beauty, Beechworth and Glenrowan just to name a few. It was such a great Autumn escape and the group loved it all !
