Cook Islands – Raratonga. The Happiest place on Earth.

We all had a great time - great food, great group of people, and friendly islanders. Some highlights from the tour were:

  • Swimming and relaxing with fabulous views.

  • Attending a Progressive Dinner where we were warmly welcomed into local homes, enjoying copious amounts of delicious food all grown on the island.

  • Orientation tour around mountainous Rarotonga with a visit to a local brewery.

  • A visit to a local school of 80 students, we enjoyed songs, dances, and joined in for fun performances.

  • A glass-bottom boat tour to view vibrant reef fish, big blue parrotfish, and a moray eel as well as enjoying a BBQ of fresh tuna, sausages, banana & onion, and colourful salads including Pawpaw, curried banana, and a delicious raw-fish marinated in lemon.

  • Sunny day spent at the local markets - great shopping for gifts and sarongs.

  • Final night at the Polynesian Village with a buffet dinner and spectacular cultural show with dancing and fire-twirling.
