Reflecting on the Capricon Coast
Three separate groups recently packed their bags and headed 38 kilometres North East of Rockhampton to explore the best of the Capricorn Coast! During this tour, our travellers spent 5 nights in Yeppoon while filling their days exploring the region.
Andrew Fyfe, our Trade Travel Franchisee from Brisbane and our Trade Travel Tour Leader Belinda Patterson enjoyed taking our groups to visit this great region.
Throughout the tour, the groups visited some unmissable Queensland attractions and sights! This included visiting the Koorana Crocodile Farm (where most held a small crocodile!), High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm – a two acre market garden which produces wonderful seasonal produce, and a trip to Water Park Tea Tree oil Farm which included a drift along Waterpark creek and a safari bus tour to learn about their production of tea tree oil.
The groups enjoyed a guided tour of Henderson Park Farm Retreat which is a family owned Brahman cattle property situated on the banks of Hedlow Creek. They enjoyed lunch at Ferns Hideaway with entertainment by Marto, also had a laugh at Footlights Theatre Restaurant and enjoyed other highlights such as visiting the Nob Creek Pottery, cruising the Fitzroy river with CQ River Cruises, and browsing the C.Q. Military and Artifacts Museum.
Back at the resorts, the groups enjoyed kicking their feet up with some happy hour fun, trivia, culinary delights, and even a cooking demonstration by the chef in the Paddock to Plate experience.
